Practice Style

It is important to me to build relationships with patients so we can partner in treatment and achieve the best possible outcome.    I make sure patients are involved in every step of the decision-making process so they understand the reasoning behind all medication selections.   As a minimalist when it comes to medications, I always strive to find the lowest effective dose of the correct medication.  My mission is simply to improve the quality of my patients’ lives.

Background

I spent 10 years as the Medical Director of a large community health organization (CarePlusNJ).    I trained in New York City at AECOM-Montefiore Medical Center and have over 20 years of experience treating all manner of psychiatric disorders in adults.   I have expertise in the medication management of mood disorders (e.g. depression and Bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, psychotic disorders, and Binge eating disorder. I am not currently treating other eating disorders (Bulimia, Anorexia) or substance use/abuse disorders, and my practice is limited to adults only (18 year of age and older).
